I asked my grandma, “Grandma can I have a garden?”

She said, “Absolutely”

“Grandma where should I put it?”

“Look around the yard. Where do you see things already growing? Over there you see a bare spot in the grass. That is a bad spot. Over there however you see thick grass and some wild flowers. There the dirt is good. That is a good spot to start.”

Soil is key to starting a good garden. My grandma said to start by looking where things already grew. If you don’t have good soil you won’t have a good garden.
